A different view of the Eclipse

I thought I'd do a 2 minute interval freeze frame from the sun facing CCTV camera, this was the result:

One hour before the scheduled time given out on the TV

I had a wander into the park and had similarly disappointing results. At the crucial moment the sun was obscured by clouds.

No photos from me as I was out on my bike riding around the countryside for the duration... I don't think my bikecam will have got anything significant... And I decided to enjoy being in the 'moment' and the atmosphere of it rather than faff about trying to (likely unsuccessfully) capture it on film.

The semi-twilight was quite eerie. The time of near-totality was spent with like-minded friends at the start of a TT race. That nearly didn't happen due to worries about the potential low light levels. It was dim enough that my Garmin was hard to read unless the backlight was on...

I was pleased to be out and about to experience it; I missed the 1999 eclipse as I was in Rangoon at the time and there was no visible eclipse at all there...
