OK, there is still something wrong with search indexing, but it is unrelated to the posting issues - it is due to other changes I made while testing.

I had a notification to say you'd quoted me (i.e. this post I've quoted above) but it's still not listed in Your Posts for me

I think that the posts which were missing from the search index should now be present, after properly cleaning and repopulating the search database.
