Purchased a dispatch that had boost issues causing limp mode.
Had to map the fault codes out to prevent limp mode to do some logging, im around 400-500mbar under expected boost with the reference value very high so the ecu is trying to demand more to get it to the desired.
Mapped the egr out for testing but made no difference.
Fault codes are
P0299
P2566
P1496
P2563
Drives fairly fine otherwise allthough feels a bit laggy and boost takes a while to kick in properly.
Little white smoke out the rear at higher rpm.
Smoke test shows a small leak at the front under the intake manifold but im not sure its enough to drop 400-500mbar.
Any ideas of the best way to diagnose this or where im looking? Quite new to the 2.0hdi engines though ive tinkered with the 1.6.
Seller said he changed maf, map turbo and egr, old ones are in the door pocket (turbo isnt)

Re: Dispatch 2.0 dw10cd underboost issues
It is always helpful to post the descriptions of the fault codes to save potential helpers having to look them up.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Dispatch 2.0 dw10cd underboost issues
P0299 Turbo/Supercharger Underboost Turbo not making requested boost
P2563 Turbo Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Turbo actuator position not where the ECU expects
P2566 Turbo Boost Control Position Sensor Circuit Intermittent Actuator position signal dropping out or unstable
P1496 Turbo actuator/vacuum control fault (PSA specific)
ammended as best as i know, hopefully this helps sorry about that
logged 2635 mbar requested and only around 2194 mbar absolute, which is roughly 1.2 bar boost after subtracting atmospheric pressure.
a little white smoke at higher RPM.
The previous owner said they'd replaced the turbo, MAP, MAF and boost control solenoid.
turbo takes an age to spool up and only starts boosting aboutr 2800-3000rpm but pulls strong after
