Unread post by ASA »

No crank, no start!

Citroen Jumpy, 2018, 2.0 BlueHDi 180 DW10FC, 211k

Out of blue stranded in a car park.

Battery 6 months old and has juice.

Codes:
B1805-62 present Starter motor fault-coherence
P0215-71 permanent Principal relay control-Relay stuck
P16D8-00 permanent starting and switching off of the engine controlled - Starter control line faulty

New starter or dig deeper? :-k

If you search in the Citroen forum for 'Jumpy no start' you will find a number of threads about this and you may get an idea :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I will go through them right away. Thanks!

*edit. Went through all of them plus searched all the DTCs too.

What I found is that it could be the starter itself or BSM... Unfortunately no exact match for my symptoms. So all info is much appreciated O:)

A new BSM is quite affordable. And learning them being quite fault prone, a new one wouldn't hurt in the long run... Does BSM need coding when replacing?
