sadikerd wrote: 31 May 2026, 22:44 Hey! I still get an issue to update my citroen e-c4 2022 "Software of the touch screen".
My Current version is 43.04.27.52_NAC-r0
Citroen update app suggests me: 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0

I followed this:
1. I downloaded 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 from internet (not @Rui's website. Because it downloads super super slow there. I searched and found on google)
2. I've formated the USB key to fat32 (normal windows formatter)
3. I've exported tar file to USB by 7zip app.
4. I also downloaded licence file from the Rui's link. (i copied my uin number from exisinting uptade file from "citroen update" app) and copied into USB key.
5. i have SWL folder, UpdateInfo file, and license including license file folder.
6. I also connected the car to wifi.

I tried everyhing what i read in this form.
But i still get hardware being incompatible :(
Where do i make mistake?
Suggestion: Use the link citroen recommends to be for sure your license ID key is ok, then download from the NAC & RCC update, the 44.07.33.32 version as both 44.06.44.22 & 44.07.05.22 in some cases gives a hardware incompability. Put the above original key in the new downloaded folder. worked for me (now e.g. android is enabled, hoping for new version to enable apple carplay). (DS 7 2024 crossback)

@Arthurvanderven: The key is specific to your car (head unit UIN = unique identification number) and to the firmware version (UpdateID/MediaVersion) you want to install, so the key from Citroën Update is useless to install any other firmware version.

To install the firmware version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 version, which has an UpdateID/MediaVersion 001315031692686757, you need a file named "license/license_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_001315031692686757.key" (where xxx...xxx is the UIN of your head unit). The license file downloaded from the Citroën Update was either "license_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_001315031671116172.key" (for the 44.06.44.22_NAC-r0) or "license_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx_001315031675246547.key" (44.07.05.22_NAC-r0).

Or you can forget about the license file in the USB flash drive and just use the internal car connection (through the car's BTA, WiFi connection or Bluetooth tethering) to verify the license. And that's your case, regardless of the license files you had on the USB flash drive.

Just in one specific case, the firmware update enabled Google Android Auto (5.xx.xx.xx to 21.xx.xx.xx in the NAC_EUR_WAVE2 infotainment systems). The Android Auto and CarPlay icons are always greyed out if no Android phone or Apple iPhone, respectively, is connected through a USB data cable in the respective USB port (usually only one USB port supports data transfer).

Greetings from Slovakia.
I joined this forum because of an update problem. Also My Peugeot offers me updates that my unit does not accept. (44.06..44.22 nac r0). Is there a big difference between the update you offer and the old one in my car? Is it worth it to update?

You may want to bypass the Citroen app, download it directly to your PC, then unpack the compressed files directly onto your USB. Make sure your vehicle is running throughout the update otherwise it can brick your Head Unit if the firmware installation is interrupted.

The App in notoriously bad for some people.
Good morning

I dismantled the radio, it's an RCC

@BULVIAK:

That's a NAC_EUR_WAVE2 infotainment system, all updates for your car are in that page.

You can install the latest firmware 21.08.90.52_NAC-r0 (UpdateID 001315031666020829).
The license for that firmware version and your car (UIN 0D010E0A69D4EE695B2D) could be found at: https://majestic-web.mpsa.com/mjf00-web ... D4EE695B2D
Latest European map is 28.0.0-r0 (Oct 2024, UpdateID 002315011730118165), but the 31.0.0-r0 version (Apr 2026, UpdateID 002315011776064069) should be released soon.

Hi,

I am from Turkiye. I have Opel Frontera. When I want to update system software, I found french car forum.

My main problem is Traffic Sign Assistant. After I have driven 27-30 km, TSA yellow failure sign is seen on screen. When I stop engine, yellow sign is disappeared but after 27-30 km drive it appears again.

I have tried to update to solve problem, but I can't. Can you help me?

Thanks

You may get more help from a dedicated Opel Forum such as: https://en.club-opel.com/forum-category/frontera-17. We have made a conscious decision to remain supportive of the makes represented in the banner above but not to expand to take in other Stellantis brands. :)

Thanks @mickthemaverick,

I have registered Opel forum too, but Opel forum is not developed like this forum. If you help me to update system software, maybe my problem will be solved automatically.

Good evening,

Anyone had a issue where their car, in my case a C5 Aircross, doesn't detect the USB stick?

It was previously, and even completed an update with it. Then I was getting this error "Version not compatible with hardware" when trying to update again, so reformatted the stick etc etc, and now it's like the car doesn't even see it.

I used the update from here, thanks, Rui. https://sites.google.com/view/nac-rcc/system/nac/wave-3 and kept my license.

Any help is appreciated, thanks,

@gokmenoz: Your car probably has a Forvia CRONY2 infotainment system. There are 2 variants of that system, one without integrated satnav (CRONY2_EU_VAR1_WAVE1) and one with the satnav (CRONY2_EU_VAR2_WAVE1).

But because your car was sold in Türkiye, the identification of your car's infotainment system could be incorrectly set in the Stellantis database (DB), as seen in other cars from your country...
When the database is correctly set, both the ATB4S_2024_EU_WAVE1 and one of the CRONY2_EU_VAR1_WAVE1 or CRONY2_EU_VAR2_WAVE1 ECU are associated with the VIN.
Many cars from your country only have the Telematics Box (ATB4S_2024_EU_WAVE1) in the DB, and when that happens, it's impossible to verify the license of your "non-existent" system and impossible to install any firmware update. You can input your VIN on my page and verify if it's correctly identified.

@Hank_Marvin: Last Friday, Stellantis reverted the changes done a couple of years ago in the identification of some NAC_EUR_WAVE3 systems, that were identified as NAC_EUR_WAVE4, even with a 3x.0x.xx.xx firmware installed. So the first thing is to identify the system version that is currently installed (Cog, OPTIONS, System settings, System info, View).
  • NAC_EUR_WAVE3 from the factory (3x.0x.xx.xx firmware) and still a 3x.0x.xx.xx firmware installed:
You could install the 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 WAVE3 to WAVE4 conversion firmware (and only that is valid) first and then the map update for the WAVE4 systems. You can't use the Citroën/DS/Opel/Peugeot/Vauxhall Update software to install the maps.
  • NAC_EUR_WAVE3 from the factory (3x.0x.xx.xx firmware) but already updated to NAC_EUR_WAVE4 firmware (probably the 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 firmware version):
You can't upgrade the firmware, but you can update the map for WAVE4 systems. You can't use the Citroën/DS/Opel/Peugeot/Vauxhall Update software.
  • NAC_EUR_WAVE4 from the factory (4x.0x.xx.xx firmware):
You could install the 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 firmware (and only that is valid) and update the maps from that page. You can't use the Citroën/DS/Opel/Peugeot/Vauxhall Update software to install the firmware.

Mines on 44.07.05.22, which came via the Citroen software a couple of years ago.

"From factory, the VIN had a NAC_EUR_WAVE3 infotainment system."

Sorry I don't follow fully, are you saying the updater software doesn't really work anymore?

@Hank_Marvin: The Citroën/DS/Opel/Peugeot/Vauxhall Update software has many problems, right now it's offering you the older firmware version 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 (03 Jun 2021) for the NAC_EUR_WAVE3, when you already have the 44.07.05.22_NAC-r0 (01 Feb 2023) for the NAC_EUR_WAVE4. Because your system is already converted to a Wave 4 but Stellantis incorrectly identifies it as a Wave 3, you can't install the latest firmware 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 (22 Aug 2023).

The latest European map version for your NAC_EUR_WAVE4 system is 20.0.0-r0 (11 Mar 2026), but you have to prepare the USB flash drive manually (you can't use the Citroën Update software).

Oh right, i'm not too bothered about the mapping, but getting the system update would be good.

Can I get the latest wave 4 update from your site? And replace the SWL folder from my citroen created USB with yours?
