Oh No!! Major disaster!!!

So trying to check why my wing mirrors were not folding, and in testing I accidentally shorted the folding mirror connector at the passenger door. Now my car won’t start !!!

I’m getting multiple error codes on diagnosing saying some ECU cannot be connected too, abs failure, engine fault, canbus cannot be connected.

I’ve disconnected the battery for a couple of hours to try to reset the bsi but nothing changed. Tried to erase the faults but no luck.

Have I completely screwed something up?

I’d start with carefully checking all fuses. Best is to measure continuity with a meter instead of just visually checking them.

Thank you for your reply, did some digging with a multimeter and found that F13 in the engine bay was blown, swapped it out and the car now works again! That was stressful !

It says something about modern wiring systems that when there is a fault with a wing mirror your car can be disabled
