Today we were out in the 308sw, blue colour identical to yours, waiting to go straight ahead at a roundabout in the left side of our road. All the roads and the roundabout do not have 2 lanes but are just wide enough for 2 cars. The wait was quite a while due to traffic and then a gap came and as we set off somebody in a soft top BMW from our road overtook us and turned immediately left, missing us by a few feet. If the 1.5 hdi had been able to accelerate quicker we might have needed an insurance claim.
Oh heck, glad it was (just!) a near miss for you!! :o

Perhaps it was also a "poorly driven German car" thing this week too - selfishly I'm mostly been prattling on about the misfortune I found myself in mid week -

- but on Monday I came across a head on collision, maybe 30 seconds after it had happened. Thankfully both vehicles occupants were largely unharmed but we had the full emergency services treatment, including air ambulance (as initially was potential neck injury, so I guess took no chances).

That was a poorly judged decision to try and overtake by a Merc driver who found himself with nowhere to go, having not completed overtake of the artic tanker he was trying to pass and with a taxi minibus heading towards him.

Currently typing out another accident report for Wednesday's bump. This is second typed in version plus also long winded phone questionnaire already completed. Dash camera footage uploaded to another website.

I saw a Bini had been side-swiped on a MK roundabout yesterday morning... Hit hard enough to draw the curtains across the windows!

And I saw an Audi being driven by a deranged idiot but no surprise there...

We didn’t. But we do now.

And I love it!

Have you got something similar for the BMW drivers out there? They’re as bad, if not worse.
Cheers,

I don’t think we’re as creative as you are. Or maybe I don’t hang around with the same type of people on real life as I do online. [-X

But it’s very good to know that BMW drivers in the U.K. and no different to those here. They simply don’t know what blinkers are for.

Which leads back to the other type of driver , the one and only Taxi driver , ive had several near misses with these over the yrs and what makes me laugh the only time I see them drive sensible is when they have a paying passenger in there car .

The one that hit Matts car im wondering if he's qualified to drive one let alone understand the roundabout rules.
