What are you updating? Maps, firmware or what? What vehicle? What year? More information needed.

Hello everyone,

I am a new member from Turkey, owning a Citroen DS5. My RT6 (RNEG2) multimedia system is currently running on a very old firmware version: v2.20.E.5.

I would like to upgrade it to the final version, v2.86, but as many of you know, a direct upgrade from v2.20 throws a media checking error and fails. I have searched everywhere for the intermediate firmware versions (v2.31 or v2.37) to perform a stepped upgrade, but all the old links online seem to be dead.

Could anyone kindly share a working download link or the files for RT6 firmware v2.31 or v2.37? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your time and help!

Best regards,

If you look at the table on page 1 of this thread viewtopic.php?p=856186#p856186 you will see that you can only update from 2.20 to 2.21 without a problem, ANYTHING later than that will require the configuration of the unit to be reset. This is normally something that only a dealer, or other garage with access to the Stellantis servers, can do and is chargeable. If you're going to do this kind of upgrade I strongly suggest that you use Mirascript to download the configuration BEFORE you do any update.

Next, Why do you want to update? Especially to the final version 2.86? Are you having some problem that you want to fix?

I will send you a PM with links to 2.31 and 2.37. I will include a link to 2.21 as well. 2.21 and 2.37 are files to load directly on to a USB stick. 2.21 is an ISO image.

Use these files atyour own risk. There is no backtracking to the previous version.

Thank you so much; I am truly grateful.
There are no issues with the display or camera on my vehicle's multimedia system, but I am not getting any sound from the Denon audio system. That is why I wanted to perform a system update.
Not being able to listen to any music through the vehicle's multimedia system makes long trips very boring.

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a complete RT6 / RNEG2 SD card image (.img) for my navigation unit.

Vehicle:

- Peugeot 308
- Model Year: 2012

Head Unit:

- Magneti Marelli RT6
- Part number: 9803461XH
- Production date: 30/10/2012

Problem:

The unit is stuck in a boot loop.

It only shows the Peugeot logo. It restarts continuously. The CD drive spins up, then ejects the firmware CD. The firmware update never starts.

After removing the unit, I checked the internal 8 GB microSD card.

The partition table is still present (3 partitions), but creating a sector-by-sector image fails with CRC errors (Error 23 Win32 Disk Imager). Windows also becomes extremly slow whenever the SD card is inserted, so I believe the internal SD card has physically failed.

I already have a new microSD card ready for replacment.

What I am looking for:

I am not looking for firmware 2.86 only.

I am looking for:

- a complete RT6 / RNEG2 SD card image (.img), or
- a pre-programmed replacment SD card, or
- someone who can clone a working RT6 SD card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

First of all, if you have a firmware CD (what version of firmware is it?) then try extracting the files to a USB drive and see if that works better. Don't go too large on the USB drive, 8GB is more than enough. 32GB is the absolute maximum size.
