Wow, thank you so much for this guide.

I may need to open mine too as i intermittently get P1ABF error. Once every 100km or so, and i have to connect the diagbox and delete the error for electric mode to start working properly.

The car is at 218k now so i guess although there is no rattling noise coming from the differential there may still be some metal powder buildup that prevents it from coupling at some point.

I have 2 differential on my desk now. One of them don't have metal chips only powder, bearings start desintegrating slowly, this is 1st phase ;) If you disassembly it clean and replace bearing, mount correctly then it should last another 200-300k or even more if you remember to replace oil once per 30-40k miles.

Hello, can you help me, please. I need to replace the rear differential searing on my 508 RXH, it leaked some oil. Where should I add oil to the differential? and is there any special procedure for all that?

Hello guys,

I'm happy to have found specialists of this car because even at Peugeot dealers not so many knows the RXH Hybrid4.
I'm jumping in this thread because someone talked about rattling in the rear differential, and I think that this is what I have now.
When I bought this car 2.5 years ago, I saw that it was leaking like one drop of some liquid in the read, between the 2 rear wheels.
As it was just a drop per night I forgot it.
Since a couple weeks, I started hearing a rattling noise in the rear, like a motorbike following me, starting around 80km/h.
I thought it was tires so as it was ready to change, I changed rear tires.
Problem is still here, and is starting sooner and sooner, now around 50km/h :?
The leak doesn't seem to be here anymore, so I think the differential is empty from oil :(

I'm not driving a lot, like 2x10km per day since I moved near my job, but the problems seems to be important and urgent...

Do you think the differential is dead, or can I just put 0.7l of oil back in ? I was planning to sell it because now I don't need a diesel anymore :|

Hi, just one question, when u removed clutch position sensor did u find some kind of washer under bolt? Cause looks like im missing it after oil change and car now some times kicks the gear out with big bang when you start moving on electric.
