Peugeot 3008 P84 2019 hybrid4 - fuel filter

Unread post by trollkarlen »

I have read that my car can have fuel filter either by the side of the tank or in the in-tank fuel pump assembly.
I tried looking on the side of the tank but cant see any filter.

Any body know the location and know if there ant service schedule on these?

The start of the story is that i have issues with the car that suggests bad low pressure fuel pump pressure.

Its leaning towards the low pressure fuel pump :/

When put in to sports mode to force the engine on, it starts the engine and runs normal for a couple of seconds and then stalls and then restarts and runs fine for a couple of seconds...and the story repeats.

Error codes:
P2635 94, Low-pressure fuel pump : Unexpected behaviour(mecanical?)
P062A 94, Low-pressure fuel pump : Unexpected behaviour(electrical?)

I have tested running without a fuel cap to check if its the pressure release that not working.

Left to check is the current draw and the earth point for it.

I can find any low pressure value in diagbox is there any sensor for that?
Maybe i can check the high pressure sensor it should also fall because of starvation in this case.

Any input is welcome

For anybody else reading there is no external fuel filter(can be on models in regions with dirtier fuel).
But there is 2 of them in the low pressure fuel pump in the tank, but on this models/hybrid and hybrid4) the tank need to be lowered for checking and replacing the low pressure(5.2 bar) fuel pump
One suction mesh in the bottom of the suction tube/pump and then a built in fuel filter inside the pump that cant be replaced.

I want to validate the integrity of the cables running to the low pressure fuel pump.

So Im trying to find this 2 connectors:
ICK5K 22V JN(Yellow) Its the connector for signal cables(pwm for running the pump and system info line)
ICK5H 22V BE(Blue) Its the connector for the supply
These connects between the 10PR(Main) and the 10PR(Rear hybrid?) looms i think, please correct me if im wrong.

Please give me some hints if you know the locations.
Please also give me some poniters on good values for the fuel pump( I guess grounded and unlimited ohms is bad for all these except earth :) )

I have checked and verified the earth point MC47 its located on the left side on the inside of the door sill. The most front one is the MC46 and the last one is the MC47

I don't know the answer to your question, but my car has a fuel filter right behind the tank. So it is possible to check the hoses (2 pieces) that come out of the tank and go to the engine. I think the diesel must have a fuel filter. If it is not next to the engine in a visible place, then it is behind the tank. It is hidden with a cover.

Thanx Mihael_M
But I need to check the integrity if the cables first because if not the ECU can activate the fuel pump because of issues with the system info or PWM signal then the pump will not run but can be working.
So first check the cables then i will so a pressure check, this way i know if i need to order a new pump or just hunt cables :)
And in my model the drive battery is in the way so i cant check them at the pump like you can normally when you can access the pump under the back seat.

The contacts are located under the back seat together with ICK5Y(black).

After measuring in the socket and measuring the fuel pressure the car started and ran fine, so either it was some dirt or oxidation in the socket or it will start acting up again when it gets warm.
I will keep it under observation for a while and if it works i will put it under bad connection.
It can also be the cables that have some kind if damage under the car, but i ave to wait and see.
Will not drop the tank just now any ways.
