HI-FI System DS3 - HELP Upgrading

Unread post by fnsramos »

Hello guys!

I have a DS3 2013.
Bought the central speaker, but I need help to install it. Since i don`t have the BFH1 box, do I have to buy it? Because my car does not have the heated seats. I do not intend for now to buy the Rear sub.
I have to make or buy(if there is a code for that, would help) a harness for the central speaker and also, where do I attach on the radio (the pins?)

You can see on the photos that I found 2 plugs on the botton box and on the central speaker vault, the cable that pass throught there is for the tweeters, no other harness in there.

So...I was able to find the connector for the central speaker, but no sound or energy seems to come through (tested with the multimeter). The thing is..do I need Activate via Diagbox only? Or need anything else? Like running a cable through to "energize" the connector. As you can see, I don't have the BFH1 in my car

**Update -> Was able to activate via diagbox to the HIFI analog (because the hifi digital the system does not allow me)

Checking the cables, the central speaker harness is connected to the radio, but still no sound coming from it
Now if you guys can help me out, let me see if I understand

The diagram 8427 is the radio itself? I was unable to find the BFH1 in my car. So I was thinking, Can I wire the radio (wich pin?) direct to the PSF1 Maxi Fuse MF7 using a universal fuse box between? Maybe is the solution? Thanks

Many thanks

Sorry :rofl2:

Here are the plugs that I`m in doubt, if it connects to the BFH1. Besides that, find below the Update so far

Update:
I did kind of a retrofit, made all the connections and wiring. The thing is, central speaker now works (had to pass 2 wires from the amp (8427 on diagram) to the central speaker (84B1), and attached to the plug that is on the original harness.
all the others, I made a direct connection amp(8427) to the RD45 (8480), except for the ZE14E (yellow) that comes from the amp to the BSI, because I don`t know where to plug/wire it on the BSI, without it, the amp does not ''turn on'', so looks like and ACC 12+, so a made it with the positive, and the amp turn on.
Everything is ''working''
Central speaker is playing as it should, test on the radio (RD45), the balance ''left/right'' and applys correctly.

Now, on diagbox I only found the option Autoradio>Sound type > Default/Hi-Fi Analogue/Hi-Fi Digital

Leaving on Default or Analogue doesn`t change anything, the sound does not seems to receive ''more power'' (or RMS).
So, the amp is processing the sound the way I see it, but in my conception, It should at least give it a little ''pump''?
Default and Hi-Fi Analogue should have different kind of potency?

Tried also with chatGPT, but now I`m in this dead end 8-)

Any thoughts? Ideias? Maybe ZE14E should go to the BSI, but need exactly where, couldn`t find by only looking the diagram. Also a firmwaer update for the BSI? Because when I try to find via diagbox the ''amplifier present'', cannot find?

I know that the wiring looks ugly on the photo, but I did properly with soldering and isolating everything and then put the amp (a515) in a space found under the Steering Wheel, because if not, I would have to do wiring all the way from the trunk.

Thanks a Lot

Thanks a lot
