Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
It won't help you but for me the MyCitroen windows desktop software run flawless and smoothly on the first try I was able to update system and nav.
It does the correct formatting of the USB and everything, it was really press, plug, play.
Seems obvious, are you entering the correct VIN when inputting in the windows app ?
Do you have a windows setting that prevent quick cache writing to system? cause lots of bugs with detachable storages.
Is your USB stick not old and worn out. By lots of writing, the USB stick can wear much faster (few years) than other types of flash media, like SSD.
Is there any C4 Grand Spacetourer equipped with the NAC Wave 4 (HD) ?
It's maybe not exactly related to updates but there is a firmware feature difference. In my C4GP, the bottom right scroll on the wheel, where the "SRC" button is, seems to have no functionality anymore. It used to be for fast settings the navigation, and zoom on the map.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi,
I have a 2020 Peugeot 208, and I am trying to update the firmware. I got the recommended firmware from the official pegeot app and I extracted it to a 32 GB USB drive, both through the app and manually.
I always get a message saying the firmware is not compatible with the hardware. I have went up and down this post and this forum and I can't seem to find an answer that applies directly to my case.
I was now thinking it is a license mismatch, but I am unsure. I heard that the license was not really mandatory if I have a wifi connection so I excluded the license from the usb also and connected to my phone's hotspot and still the same result.
Anybody dealt with this problem on this car model?
ps: Is it possible to have a wave 2 system on a 42 version software?

Issue with Infotainment Software Update – Citroën C4 (2022)
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some help regarding a software update for my 2022 Citroën C4. The car is now out of warranty, and I’m trying to update the head unit/screen firmware myself, but I’ve hit a dead end with the official tools:
MyCitroën App (Mobile): The app doesn't show any available updates for the screen/system at all. The menu for "Software and Mapping" is either missing or showing as "Up to date," which I suspect is incorrect.
Citroën Update Tool (PC/Mac): When I enter my VIN, the desktop app detects an update is available, but as soon as I try to start the download, it fails immediately with a "Server error" or "Connection failed" message.
I’ve tried multiple times over several days, but the official PC tool simply won't download the files.
Can anyone help with the following:
Does anyone have a direct download link (SMEG/NAC/RCC servers) for the latest firmware compatible with a 2022 C4 (3 053_2024.22.1)?
Is there a known workaround for the "Download Failed" error in the Citroën Update desktop app?
Since it's a 2022 model, do I definitely need a manual license file on the USB, or should the car fetch it via its internal data connection?
My VIN is: VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
I would really appreciate any direct links or advice on how to bypass the buggy official software. Thanks in advance!

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
It won't be SMEG as that finished some years before your vehicle so I've moved your post into the appropriate thread.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
@wentylxpompa: Try removing the license file from the USB flash drive and connect your car to a WiFi network.
@Solarriors: The last firmware versions for the NAC AIO (67.*.*.*) had a similar problem, with steering wheel buttons no longer working. AFAIK there is no solution.
@Pa-Peu3008: No. You need to replace the head unit.
@crash: If that's a NAC Wave 4 (NAC_EUR_WAVE4) system, it's a known problem. The firmware version 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 offered by the Peugeot Update is invalid, you need to use the file in my page (it's still hosted by Stellantis).
@ISE1888: That's a AIO_2021_W1 system - https://sites.google.com/view/nac-rcc/system/aio/wave-1
Edited.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Just a small trick that worked for me.
To fix the message: "Version not compatible with hardware" I just changed the date in the car to 18/03/2024
Configurations -> Options -> Disable the option to use date and time from GPS -> Go to Date options -> Edit date to the desired date and start -> Turn the car off and start the update process.
After the update, make sure you activate again the option to load the date from GPS.
As @rui_saraiva has mentioned, the issue is regarding and expired certificated, so I decided to test if it would be possible to change the date back in time, and it worked for me.
Hope this message will be useful for someone else.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi,
I have a Peugeot 508 II 2021, I wanted to update the firmware of i-Cockpit, now I have 42.03.31.32_NAC-r0 and Peugeot Update App gives me an option to update to 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0. I was able to update the maps to 17.0.0-r0 but when I try to update the firmware I get "Version not compatible with hardware". I have tried downloading the 44.07.33.32_NAC-r0 manually from a site from a previous comment and activating the WiFi before putting the USB stick in the car but this didn't resolve the issue. Could this be an issue with the license, how do I generate it on my own? Because I don't know how to generate it for my car/update version. My chassis number is VR3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. Thanks in advance for any advice
