I always check work done by others on our cars for anything obviously wrong. I should not need to but can find something is not quite right, may be time pressures at dealers or just cannot be bothered. I do not do jobs on non family cars due to possible liability.

Oh yes agreed. :)

No way you can... They all have a magnetic attraction  My eldest granddaughter can spot a muddy puddle from a mile off...

And then this happens...

What are fuel prices in England now?

My local fuel outlet - at the end of my street - this afternoon was selling diesel for AUD 3.11.9 per litre.

Anything could have happened since then.
Cheers,
Andrew

AUD 3.119 works out at about £1.64 so a lot lower than the UK. Our local Waitrose Shell garage wants £1.999 a litre for diesel, not many go there, a mile away at Tesco it is £1.899 if they have any. With diesel now being about 30p more than petrol they can be more expensive to run than petrol, especially if things like adblue are included and possible higher servicing costs/purchase cost.

Look at these poor 2 old classics . I've watched these slowly rot over the past almost 15 years.

That is a long time, when ever I drive past I always look . I got the shot today thanks to road works and having to sit in the line of cars I was right near enough to grab a quick photo
