Citroen C5 X7 2015 BlueHDI 2.0 Exclusive Tourer

Unread post by howardaskew »

I believe that this car has either the front too high or the rear too low.
The height Sensors at the rear are on each wheel arm rather than the Anti Roll bar.
(Nothing on the rear anti roll bar)
My Diagbox is too old for this model, it can see the suspension ECU but not the Body Height ECU or the Engine ECU.
Luckily I have an Autel Tablet that communicates with the whole car.
The VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Could you post up the procedure for height correction and parts locations please? I have renewed my donation.
It will be different to the earlier X7 models.

Since you haven't added to this post am I right in assuming you have sorted it out by now? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Mick,
Actually I have not sorted this out. Looking at the Citroen Workshop Manual it does not give the details of how to set up the height correctly using Diagbox. It just gives the methods of measuring the height. As this model is similar to the 6 cylinder cars, but it is not the same.
In fact it has two height correctors at the rear, one on each side. This is the same as the 6 cylinder cars.
At the Front it only has one height corrector. This is the same as the 4 cylinder cars. There are two height corrections in Diagbox. One for the Body ECU that measures both rear height correctors separately.
Then there is the Suspension ECU that measures front and rear as a single measurement.
Question? Do we do the Body ECU first or the Suspension ECU? I think I need a 4 post lift and the special measurement tools to do it accurately

Sorry to hear that, hopefully one of the hydraulic experts will be able to help. Beyond me I'm afraid, good luck :)

I have just had a rummage around my old posts but can not find what I was after so this is from memory .......
For checking, I attached a piece of tape measure to a block of wood, then double sided another small block, of a known size, to the measuring surfaces on the front subframe. This combination , allowed me to measure the distances between floor and measuring pads accurately WITHOUT getting under the car, I actually used the zoo on my camera to take pictures. You will need another tape attached to a block for the rear. I am sure the setting procedure is posted somewhere, I know there will be many posts, but look for posts by Marc, @GiveMeABreak. I'll try to see if I can find it in my archives over the weekend .
Some info here.

Thank you Sloppysod,
I found this procedure here which near enough says that there is not a procedure for a four cylinder car with two rear height correctors. @Givemeabreak features. Thank you viewtopic.php?t=75013
