Peugeot dealer price to beat, round 2:
Front Brake Pads and Discs : £379.00
Rear Brake Pads and Discs/Hubs : £299.00
= £678

What I've bought:
Front disks, Febi 2x 304mm diameter.
£61.54 minus (10%) -£6.54 = £55.00 (for a pair)
eBay, Car parts in motion.

Front pads, Febi, car parts in motion, eBay
£26.67 (axle set)

Rear pads, could have left them but decided to do them (as well as rear disks that need doing)
Febi, to suit Bosch braking system,
£20.22 minus (10%) -£2.02 = £18.20 (axle set)
eBay, car parts in motion.

Rear disks, 268mm diameter, Febi, car parts in motion, eBay
£38.14 (for a pair)

Sub total: £138.01

(Note to self: dig out fitting kits prices)
EDIT: note to self received and acted upon:

Front brake fitting kit, Autodoc, "JP Group" - bought:
https://m.autodoc.co.uk/jp-group/8879618
£3.59

Also for front: New guide pins, bushes and dust caps (one dust cap missing on mechanic's video)
QUICK BRAKE Guide sleeve kit, brake caliper AUTODOC https://m.autodoc.co.uk/quick-brake/14644487

I prefer Febi to PSA sourced parts anyway, at least you know who made them!! Don't forget to deduct your own 10% finders fee Matt! :rofl2:

It's ok, I had a chat to the seller and he's explained it:
Spoiler: show
it's 39" long, but on the end it's 3/4" inch square,

39" + 3/4" + 3/4" = 40 1/2" so I've got some extra thrown in free!

Was this ebay shop called "Trotters independent traders" by any chance ?
Company director Del trotter
With his partner Rodney DiC (Dyplomer in computers)
You know the one, there company logo looks something like this
TiT DiC.

Ha ha, I must have "-AI" from the post in its entirety! :rofl2:

I'll swap them for retaining screws as planning on keeping the disks!

Another (the longer one) exhaust mount bought as per first image above.

Autodoc order arrived yesterday - brake fitting kits added into to post above: viewtopic.php?p=861449#p861449

Also in the same order:
  • New parking sensor for Grey 308
For the HDI Coupe:
  • Timing belt kit (can't remember when seller said it was done so likely change it myself before it goes back on the road, eventually)
  • new brake master cylinder (not necessarily the cause of the pedal's "slow rise" but for £19 seems daft not to have it "in stock")
  • Rear brake fitting kit (for the calipers, not handbrake bits)
For blue 308 I've also got
  • a spare Purflux oil filter and
  • a pair of anti roll bar drop links (it's wearing the plastic 306 ones I had in stock presently)

Second Autodoc order has arrived too:
Blue 308
  • replacement front left wheel arch liner.
  • A pair of replacement bottom ball joints, GSP brand. Only one reported as having play (which has progressed into a noticeable knock now)
Grey 308
  • spare oil filter for its next change
Also
  • 100 new black tyre valve caps
A couple of quid, so can change / replace any that are damaged or missing.

The incorrect but bought another exhaust hanger story seemingly has another chapter!

Out of the blue with no prior communication I received this message:
Dear buyer.
I'm really sorry for that.
I checked it and got the response that it has been lost.
To make things better, i think i can give your money back, is that ok for you?
Waiting for your reply.
Best regards!
So I said yes ok to a refund, then noticed their listing was still live so asked if they could send me another instead, to which they said:
Dear buyer
thanks for your reply, but i just checked it and we don't have it now.
We have sent refund you to your account, you can check it then.
Feel free to contact us if you need other help
Best regards!
Errrrrmmmm ok!?! (Still listed, more that 10 available, so an interesting take on "not having it" in my book!)

Refund received so I've ordered from a different seller. Apparently dispatched already, due Monday which is good going for an order placed after tea last night :)
