A very short topic of somebody getting a dpf blocked fault code P2463 on a Mercedes after using Redex diesel cleaner. They resolved it by getting Halfords to clean the dpf https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/top ... &t=2035899

It's part of my regular maintenance, been doing it for years. Redex diesel fuel system cleaner https://www.redexadditives.com/products ... m-cleaner/. I am using it at the prescribed dose. I used it in my previous diesel car (DPF and Adblue equipped) and never had any problems at all in 6 years of ownership and a good mileage on the odometer. I don't think that this product would ever block a DPF, despite what this poster assumes. Were you thinking perhaps of the original Redex that was poured down the spark plug holes to unstick piston rings and was dripped down the carburettor while the engine is running to clean the inlet tract? Thtat's what I immediately think of with the Redex name. I learnt that from my dad back in the early 70s.

Hi Paul

I did respond to your post last week but it's disappeared. No absolutely not, it's designed to be used every fill up. It is a fuel system cleaner that I have been using for the last 8 years or more. It has very good reviews. I use it as a regular preventative measure. I buy it when it's on offer in Tesco, and more recently Asda are doing the same half price deal. Personally I recommend it. They also sell a DPF cleaner which I understand is equally well regarded.
