The rear suspension has tracking adjustments. had same problem on my C5. Changed them took the car back to garage.They made the adjustments and problem solved.
I'll see if I can find a photo of the part.

Hi Kenny, I have the adjustable rod pair on order currently and spent earlier this evening checking the mounting bolts will remove. They look badly corroded and I feared the worst but some cleaning with wire spinners, repeated soakings with WD, and very slow untightening has seen them each loosen. I also verified they are M12 x 1,25 screws. Screw 16 in the drawing is 75mm long and screw 17 is a bolt and nut of M12 x 1,25 pitch, about 85mm long. I was looking to replace some of these with standard hex ends and not the torx type, not least because these ones are not straightforward to find. I found some in France so far.

I did also find that the trailing control arm (item no. 3) on the off side rear has a very bad bush at the hub - actually the worst of the lot - and so I now have to change this as well.. Also now on order. I think the screw at the hub lower , no. 15, will come out ok and it has a standard hex at the bottom too. I am a little in the dark still about the one at the arm's other end, screw 14. I see that it too has a nut but where is this on the car? it does up through the floor. I ran out of time but I wonder if it is under the boot floor?

Anyway, the final pair of control arms towards the rear (item no. 2) seemed not to have any wear I could see but the rubber of the bushings does look perished and so will be changed too at a future date. There are a lot of bits to these rear assemblies.

Looking at it again, I have never removed the wheel arch liner. I have a hope that it might be accessible behind there...

But it isn't!! No access from sides or anything. No sign of anything under the back of the rear seat lower that I can see.

Keep wondering if its really a weldnut this screws in to and that diagram is misleading.

Ok, it's a captive nut. I chanced it and the bolt untightened easily but was concerned it would leave a nut rattling around inside. The nut does move but seems you can use the fairly long bolt that has a hefty lead at the end, to carefully rescrew it in. No idea how the nut is located/ prevented from turning / getting pushed up or otherwise dislodged but it seems to stay. Also no idea how it is even put in there. Maybe they locate it in a recess and assemble the car around it....

Looking up it's a good inch up there. No idea how it's retained
