Heater control valve - 307

Anyone know where the heater control valve is on a 307 with manual heater controls?

My temperature knob feels awkward to turn and I am not sure the system is delivering the correct amount of heat when on maximum. Recently had the clutch changed if that is likely to have any bearing on the matter.

What year is the car? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

If it is a cable from the back of the knob to the heater warm air flap then we had a 2010 C3 like this and the warm air flap was not being moved. A new cable did not help much and eventually we had the complete heater unit replaced as it turned out the flap was seizing up causing the cable to bend.
