what is this 2014 Citroen c3

my car 2014 Citroen c3 mk2 ......can any body tell me what the attached image is what it does and its location please auto electrician told me mine is missing but then left into the unknown ?

Part 12 looks to be labelled HF antenna. No idea where it will be though.

What it does question. It looks like the receiver aerial and unit for the remote central locking. Does your car have that as part of its specification, and if so does it work?

This unit will only be found on vehicles destined for outside Europe that use 315 MHz Remote frequency. You can see it says 315 MHz at the top of the screen.

If you are looking for the HF receiver its integrated into the Comms unit (the wiper & lighting stalk assembly).

In Europe we use almost exclusively 434 MHz remote with a few exceptions on Audi & BMW where you can sometimes fine 868 MHz remotes

thankyou for the info my remote locking dosnt work so auto electrician changed the comms unit but it still came up no comunictation with hf unit so he give me this picture then he disapeared ? so at least i wont buy one of these now but to be honest i couldnt find one anyway

Yeah you will always get no comms with the HF unit...... unless you have a Japanese model

You should be able to check live data to find out if the comms unit can 'see' the remote signal?

live data dosnt see remote i got remote from amazon i got ask then the other one fsk both wont sync to car thats why i got auto electrician in well i thought he was auto electrician not seen him since , but cheers for the info

Hy nobody near me but i have digi box but i cant find anywere in digi box to do with remote locking i read the comms unit nothing much in there to be honest somebody said it should tell me type of key but it dosnt or i cant find it ? i never had a proper key so i dont know if i need ask or fsk and is it 433 mhz ? i have no ides which key to buy i guess mine is three button as i have an electronic boot opening so you see im at a loss ,cheers

I think you started the question wrong. Because you have a central locking system with a remote key that doesn't work. It's a job for a key coding technician. He should have a diagbox but also another device for encoding keys. First of all, he should establish why the remote locking does not work. Since every car manufacturer has a different system, the technician should know it.If you were to buy a real remote control key now, it would have to be programmed to your system.
