The image above showing U1208 is the only code being read by my snap-on scan tool

1. The electric start takes 3 to 4 seconds of holding the button before the car starts,
2. Get a beep and "Engine Fault: Have the vehicle repaired" appears on the car screen.
3. When the car starts get another beep and "Parking brake fault: Have the vehicle repaired" appears on the car screen.
4. The service light on the dash will not go out using the snap on or a manual reset using the dash button method.
5. The brakes tested on brake tester working fine, the electric hand brake engages and holds on both wheels, pulled the wiring loom out the plastic tubing and inspected on both rear swinging arms all fine.

Can any one help on this please, really struggling with this one.

Have you checked the battery voltage? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Which ECU is that fault recorded in? The brake fault is almost certainly due to there being a fault in the engine ECU which interrupts the data. Have a look in the engine ECU and see if there are any faults.

Yes, put jump leads across to boost power just to prove its not a battery issue, problem remained with the additional battery connected
