Here you go, thanks.
So I put the files from within the extracted folder in the root of the USB stick

Didn't notice that you'd added them as I landed on page 2 without going through page 1. They look correct though.

So I don't have to put the folder "M49RG20-Q0421-2001" itself right ?
I'll retry. Any help for the firmware side ?

That's correct. The contents of the folder. Your screenshot is cut off at the top so I can't see if it's in the root of the USB drive but, going on your description, it is.

I'll look at the firmware separately in a moment.

I can't find a way to even launch the map updates.
Edit. Holding the car icon until the beep, it restarts the system after a dozen seconds. And then I get "Failed. Unable to read the disc".

Follow the instructions here https://www.peugeotforums.com/threads/s ... re.168681/

This is my standard message to accompany that link.

The downloadable instruction guide is out of date WRT the links and you MUST use the links in the first post instead. Unfortunately I cannot update the guide as I did not write it.

You need file extensions to be visible on your computer so that you can point the code generator to the correct file. You also need Java to be installed to run the code generator. All instructions assume that you are using a Windows computer. I have no knowledge of using Mac or Linux systems.

Note that PSA has stopped issuing updates for the maps and the two most recent updates are the last that will be available. These are 2022-1 (Central Europe, Eastern Europe North East. Scandinavia, South East Europe and Eastern Europe North West) and 2023-1 (Italy, France, Spain/Portugal, Benelux, United Kingdom and Germany ONLY. NO other areas.).

It appears that your problem is only the occasional glitch in booting up. This may be because the internal micro SD may be nearing the end of its life. If you're then going to replace the card it would be a good time to double the size from 8GB to 16GB to avoid problems with the increased size of later firmware and map data.

There are instructions of how to do this later on in that 158 page post linked to above. I'll find the exact posts if you decide to change the SD card.

Hello,

I followed the instructions in the first post, I did get the map files from the Citroën links, and I do have my activation code from SMEG+ data. The map files are on the USB stick formatted as FAT32.
Updating the internal SD card might be a possibility but I don't know if it had a lot of writes since it appears to never have been updated. In the https://www.peugeotforums.com/threads/s ... re.168681/ I don't see more than 81 pages.
Maybe I should indeed update the firmware first.
I am afraid that the USB ports are busted or something because they also don't charge well.
Maybe I should simply look into an infotainment nav system swap for a modern android tablet?

Do the ports play music USB pen drives OK? The ports aren't really designed for charging devices so it's not unusual for them to have problems charging things especially high current consumption devices.

I didn't try as I mainly use bluetooth instead, or just silence. Maybe they do work.
I'll try to update the firmware first, I downloaded the 5.43 version, I think I need a license file in addition to the download on the first post there which I don't have

None of the firmware updates need a licence to install but you might need a password to extract the files from a zip.

So the maps are recognized now.
I don't know about the firmware update procedure, but I'd like to complete it before updating the maps and speed cams.
