Every blinking time...... replacing the top mount on my daughters 208 (2014 1l manual) and I've tied the driveshaft back but still I look away for 2 seconds and half the contents of the gearbox is now on the driveway.
I know I'll need to completely drain and refill but could anyone please advise grade and quantity of oil needed?
Many thanks

Can you confirm the engine and gearbox combination in the car?
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: Peugeot 208 Gearbox oil?
Lots of good info in that link but nothing specific to the 1.0 litre which I think is a fairly rare beast? According to the manual it's sealed for life!!!! SO will probably present a challenge to fill, so any suggestions in that department wouldn't go amiss either, thanks

Found the spec PSA B71 2316, which is a 75w grade, and it would appear to take 2 litres, but now struggling to actually find the oil to purchase.

In my "clever book" there is written "TotalEnergies Traxium Gear 8 75W-80" for my engine. It's 208, 2019, 1.2 61kW with 5 speed manual transmission. I think the transmission were the same? Just different ratio.

Re: Peugeot 208 Gearbox oil?
Fully drained and put approx 1.9 litre through the breather, so far so good, a few bits to finish off and I'll take it out for a bit of a thrashing tomorrow!!
