On a 12 reg C5 X7 3.0 hdi it has 185000 so seen better days probably. I will try bleeding it but if no joy then it is probably a new rack.
To be honest though I got it fairly cheap because of high miles short mot so really don't know if I should just cut my losses with it or fix things.
It has had a few things fixed in the last 2 years by the previous owner but no proof.
It seemingly has a new battery so that shouldn't be the issue but will check the alternator etc later.
I was also reading the other post above about the wrong rack fitted etc. I don't think that is the case with this it is just probably worn.
But as I said i don't know what to do with the car in general.
