The 535 box was originally situated where the A692 joined the A68 at Castleside, near Consett, Co. Durham...only about 12 miles from it's current location

Don’t worry 
The Xantia is fixed and enjoyed a run out to The Howgill Fells, so pulled in for a photo stop on the way there.
As a side note I watched a Norman Wisdom film - A Square Peg and in an early scene Pipkin is digging a hole in the road and an AA box can be seen in the background!
