Hi all

I have a ds3 2016 puretech UK, wiper motor needs changing but been advised i need to disconnect negative battery terminal first but when i look at the battery housing it looks like i have to remove the positive connection first before getting to negative can anyone help please

The norm is to disconnect the negative first so that you cannot short the battery positive to earth with a spanner while removing it. That is the reason, however you can remove the +ve first as long as you take care not to short it to earth with your spanner. Once off just cover the exposed battery terminal with an insulating cover like a rattle can lid or similar to prevent shorting it by accident while you are working.

Thank you was looking at my battery only was i can get to the negative is remove positive first then all the housing
