Have fun! It's a dog of a job..... the top bolt is invisible and pretty much inaccessible.

The easiest way to rule the starter out is to tow start it, this completely bypasses the starter circuit. If you are correct it should fire up no problem.

You are correct starter is completely inaccessible
I get P1639 how can I test ecm is doing what it should is there any common fuses or relays I can test with standard multimeter

Edit can't tow but doesn't start off running van
And is the primer bulb supposed to pressurise ?

With someone turning key and me listening in engine bay there is a loud buzz after trying to start from primer bulb area
Probing pin 11 grey connector gets
2.6v key at 1
12.6 key at 2
Buzz is loud after start attempt

Tow/push starting bypasses the starter motor, jump starting doesn’t.

There wont be an in tank pump on this model so the fuel primer will only go harder when it is squeezed multiple times.
