Can you give a bit more context for that error? Is it a pop-up window? What was the last thing you clicked before the error?

The last thing was the list of functions, it comes up in a little box in the middle of the screen, came up when I tried to select "Engine ECU"

What version of Diagbox are you using? And remind me what year the car is?

Try reading some other ECUs , to see if the problem is restricted to that one.

The car is a C5 x7, don't know which lexia it is but it has a picture of a DS on the label plus the usual. I will try it on the other car and see if it works.

When you're using Diagbox the version is displayed towards the top right of the page. If you've taken any screenshots when using Diagbox that might show the version.

If you have any test results printed out or saved as a PDF or JPG (or any image format) then the version is printed at the top.

Unfortunately my Diagbox is on a different laptop which I can't access at the moment so can't screenshot what the operating screen is like. Maybe someone else can oblige?

Having said that, for my 2013 X7 version 7.57 was sufficient.

How sure are you about the hardware side of your Diagbox? Is it full chip for instance?

I don't really know but the fact that it has a DS picture I would have thought it would not have been too old.

Peter are you using the one I gave you or another one? :)
