If you are in the mood to get beboggled Matt, watch this video all the way through, but I'm really posting it just to give an idea of why the fuse boxes these days are so expensive!! :-D

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Very interesting Mick, thank you. I'm not sure if the 308's BPGA has as much as is hidden in there, but will have a look at some point.

On that note, Jim - were you itching to have a look at the BPGA (or am I mixing up with the starter motor?)

That BPGA looks pretty crusty (much like mine did) and mucky inside (which mine didn't really)

Today's investigation is having a look at the non functional GPS.

Aerial off, courtesy of a handy YouTube:
easier on his a lacking the Moon Roof - the roller blind mechanism surrounds the aerial base.

Also missing is that it's a 22mm nut and needs a socket to get at it.

Aerial looks horrible underneath:

Only brings up second hand items in eBay. Tiny little Torx screws but might take bottom off see if looks as though has seen damp internally

The two rusty and three crusty heads are T7 Torx - smallest I've got a tool for.

Actually maybe smallest I had tool for...

I just found this on AliExpress:
?2.59 | Car styling Shark Fin Antenna Auto Radio Signal Aerial Roof for Chevrolet Cobalt Celta West Uplander Cavalier Astra
https://a.aliexpress.com/_ExFfXJ4

Was considering one of them myself

Not sure about that one - is it actually an aerial or just a snazzy cover for the existing aerial? (Very, very cheap if actually has any electronics!)
Also, 17cm long seems huge!

I've read this:
viewtopic.php?p=750375#p750375
And so am going to buy this:
https://ebay.us/m/PH2yBy
GPS Fakra aerial. £4.49 free delivery. Realise it's not much cheaper than the AliExpress one above. :)

It was an aerial , the ali one , the listing video was a bit vauge poking the coxia in the hole ? Sticking it to the roof then tipping a bottle of water over it watching the clip twice it didn't really convince me

Done :)

Expected "15-18th July" but not going to grumble on postage speed given the overall cost!
