Hi all,
I have an Activa TCT 1997 and I'm looking for help...
My Xantia Activa has the following issue, during a right turn at speed (80km/h or more) the left side of the car sinks and stays that way for a few seconds, it keeps the left side sunk for a few seconds after the end of the turn, with steering centered. Then it levels out again and stays leveled.
This
Is this an issue related to spheres?
The steering wheel is slightly off-center to the left, I don't know if this can cause issues (wrong steering angle info for the activa system, etc).
This issue occurs on turns to both sides, left and right but I notice that it is more frequent on right turns.
Cheers

Re: Activa sinking left side after a right turn at speed
Hi and welcome to the forum Fernando
There cannot be too many Activas in Rio I'd imagine!
Both should be at a pressure of 62 bars or thereabouts.
The Activa Accumulator is often forgotten about because it's not very visible. Take care when removing it as it has a 4.5mm pipe going into the back of it and its union must be unscrewed and the pipe freed/removed from the sphere before removing the sphere from its bracket. It is like the Anti-Sink sphere in this respect.
The Activa Accumulator can very much cause the issue you're experiencing.

Very possibly. Before doing anything else, check both your Main Accumulator and the Activa Accumulator that hides under the battery tray.

Hi CitroJim, thank you for the quick response!
AFAIK there are two Activas TCT in Rio! I know there is an Activa V6 in São Paulo...
I did the pressure test on the 62 bar sphere of the Activa (gray color, code 96212198) and it's gone
The pressure goes infinitely to over 100 bar in the test tool...
What is the closest sphere I could use instead of this one?

You can just use a C5 or C6 sphere like the 70 bar center sphere from C5 or the 60 bar from a, C6 Amvar.

You can substitute an 'Anti-Sink' sphere for the Activa Accumulator Fernando - they are a little down on pressure (45 bars) but will work well enough.

Do those have the female threaded hole for the hydraulic pipe?Kees wrote: 28 May 2025, 21:07 You can just use a C5 or C6 sphere like the 70 bar center sphere from C5 or the 60 bar from a, C6 Amvar.

Sorry, no.
I was thinking just about a accumulator.

I'm wondering if there's space for a C5 mushroom. It's all a bit tight down there in a TCT...

Where they can and cannot be used.....dark purple shows where the adaptors are needed.
