Citroen Nemo 1.4D Multispace 2010
Hey guys, I'm having issues with my indicators. When indicating and braking the indicators flash double time, always on the right, sometimes on the left. When just braking the indicator lights come on solid. When reversing the check stop light warning comes up, occasionally.
All bulbs seem to be working fine although I haven't replaced any, I've checked both the rear light wire connections all look good and no corrosion. Not sure where to go from here? Any advice is much appreciated!
Thank You

Re: Intermittent Indicator Issue - Citroen Nemo
Has anyone fitted LED type bulbs? Does it have a towbar lighting socket fitted?
Assuming all the bulb holders are free from corrosion & making good contact with the bulbs. I'd be tracing back the wiring & ensuring the lamp units have good earthing.

Thanks. No I don't think any LED type bulbs have been fitted, and no tow bar. I'll check all the other lamp units, thanks.

Sounds like a poor earth to one of the light clusters at the back. Higher earth resistance and electricity leaks through an alternative route via the other bulbs.

Sounds like a classic earthing problem to me. You can test this by running a temporary good earth connection to the affected bulbholder if possible. Not so easy with modern all-enclosed units I know. But, assuming this provides temporary relief, you can then go hunting for the faulty earthing point.

Interesting I found your post on Google.
Just wondering why you asked about the l.e.d bulbs.
I seem.to be having problems with the cluster ( dials ) - the lights seem to be on " very faint " & I've changed the cluster 3 times, it happens on all them
I have l.e.d interior bulbs which are turned off fully , as they remain dim when there ( on when car doors open ) - I think because it still gets small voltage .
I also have l.e.d indicators, which is why I'm wondering why you asked about the l.e.d
Thanks =)

Re: Intermittent Indicator Issue - Citroen Nemo
Because fitting LED bulbs into circuits that were not designed for having them can cause issues even so called ‘ CAN bus’ compatible ones. They have different resistances to the original bulbs so can cause issues on blown bulb detection systems & as you have seen can cause the LEDs to be on dimly even when not switched on. If you have any lighting issues i would always go back to all original bulbs just to rule them out.
As for your issue with the dim on dash lights, i have actually noticed the same thing on quite a few Nemo/Bipper/Doblo’s i have worked on however its not something i have gone on to investigate.

Did you ever get an update to this or find a fix, I’m having literally the exact same issue currently
