DS5 Cockpit Glass Electric Roof Fuse

Unread post by xanad »

Hi there!
I have a DS5 with electric sunblind roof. It happened that one day, none of them works. More to say, the buttons doesn't have any light, nor make any sound when pressed. Looks like dead fuse to me, but can't seem to find any info about it. My manual doesn't have refference to any roof fuse, and in the official support only points me to garaje and pray.
If any1 have any info, will make my day!
Thanx!

Ok, so the blinds are referred to as 'Vellum' and each has a fuse controlling them.

There are 3 fuses, all in the BFH3 fuse box and I assume you have a left hand drive being in Spain.

This is where the particular fusebox is located - they are referring to specific harnesses in the diagram, but where these plug in is the BFH3

These are the fuses for each:

F8 30A Rear Vellum
F15 30A Front RH Vellum
F16 30A Front LH Vellum

Whoa!
Very nice info. I'll open the box compartment and check them out. As i can see, there are no more 30A fuses in that box, so i guess they will be pretty straight up to locate.
Thank you very much!

No worries, but I suggest you follow the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure if disconnecting the battery - which is recommended before changing fuses to avoid any problems.

Hi there. Sorry for the necro, but lost trace of the forum and email account.
Just to update the case, weny a few weeks ago to a mechanic. He dissasembled all the area to check the fuse box and nothing was wrong. More to say, the light in the glove box doesnt work. I thought i was the bulb, so i replaced it and nothing...

Sorry again but i am in a pretty neat situation. Anybody I ask seems to be unable to tell me anything apart from "i have to tear open the full roof". The only thing i have been able to is to make a workshop in front of my house to dismount the parts under the steering wheel to check the fuses, but they seem to have not found anything strange, all in working order.

Hi all.
For anyone who might be interested, i've solved this and was pretty easy in the end (first thing i've thought when solved was "what a fool).
Called a neighbour that is a pretty good mechanic to make the battery reset procedure. Made like a charm, didnt worked. We started thinking nasty things, and dismounted the upper panel with the vellum buttons nd Voilà! There it was...a loose connector. It was pretty hard to put it back in place but once in its place, vellums started working like a charm. Vibrations fault.
