there is a software update. unfortunately the message is still displayed after inserting the USB that the version is incompatible with the hardware.the update appeared this morning

Hello, please help me update the navigation in my Citroën C5 Aircross 2019.
If there is a software update as well, it would be much appreciated.
The VIN is: VR7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
I recently bought the car, apparently the Head Unit has never been updated since new.

kristin F you have everything in the my citroen application after downloading the update there is an instruction.
and returning to the topic where the update cannot be done, today in the service I asked what next with the update they answered me that the manufacturer knows there is a problem and they do not know how to solve it yet.

Thank you for your reply. If by "Citroën application" you mean the Citroën app, there is no update there - the app will not connect to my car.
So, I need to download the updates and a license key to my computer and copy the files to a memory stick - then update the Head Unit in the car as described previously in this thread.
I stumbled upon this thread when searching for solutions, I'm amazed by the goodwill of members here who have taken the time to arrange this for so many - we are now on page 74 in this amazing thread!
Kudos to you GiveMeABreak Marc! If you see this and find it possible to help me out, it would be fabulous.
I live in Iceland but trust me; finding the way to a destination in Reykjavik can be quite the challenge at times with new neighbourhoods popping up like weed
I just checked the info in the car and the navigation is from 17.11.2018.

Hello , before all i want to thank you all for helping out ppl like me that are stuck with our cars ...

I recently got a C4 grand picasso mkII from 2015 and the software is still the original ... the car was imported from france on 2020 , dunno if thats importante .
I when to the citroen update and after placing my VIN number it says that citroen wont gimme the updates i dunno why ...

Can you guys help me somehow ?

The certificates are expired for newest versions for wave 3 and wave 3 to wave 4 update. And there is no hope...

Dexter676, so I can't update the versions? The Citroën app tells me to update, but then I plug in the USB drive and it tells me the version isn't compatible.
What can I do?

You get version isn't compatible becouse there is no specific text for expired certificates. And I don't think PSA will renew certificates for some old 2019 cars update... Just buy new car, duh... Especially that now wave 3 is only in 8%of their cars. Others updated earlier when certificates were walid.

Mine is also not updated. I wonder if in other brands they just don't update navi system after 2-4years.

Dexter676, so I won't be able to update either the screen or the navigation, is that what you mean?
If so, there should be some way to force it to update, since the navigation in particular is becoming outdated, and there are streets and roads that don't appear.

I didn't heard of any successful ways to do it. I also don't see part of highway I'm driving everyday so it's driving me crazy, and would pay even to take it out of car to update it.
