I would replace with an original personally if you want long life.

New, original spheres cannot be found anymore, only I.F.H.S/ Eurorepar and some other brands like Suplex.

Eurorepar are owned by PSA / Stellantis.
Both original and cheaper spheres are showing as available in official live parts data as of posting. The cheaper one is Eurorepar.

5276 27 original part number i think it cannot be provided anymore by the local suppliers, only Eurorepar 1638377580 or Suplex.

(527627) is an old part number, that's been long superseded now. So use the above.

@golf:
I think it's your choice, you can either regass the original one, and put this one on 75 bar, or buy one from IFHS, but then also 75 bar.
I have no experience with the Suplex brand, but for me it's unlikely that they are rebrands of IFHS.
Greetings,
Kees

Re: Stiff suspension after spheres regassing - C5 X7
Hi there!
Today i left the car to my mechanic for front central sphere regassing. After few hours he told me that the sphere was blown and that was probably the cause of the stiffer suspension. In the last period the car behave quite well, it wasn't that stiff as few months ago.
He replaced it with another OE sphere, regassed at 70 bar. Tomorrow i will drive the car to see how it behaves
What might be the cause that right after 6/7 spheres regassing, the central one to get blown? Any explanations?
Thank you!
L.E: The oil leak from the oil pan is probably from the high pressure pump, i have replaced the shaft seal and hope it's ok now.

@Kees I'm coming back in few hours with a feedback. I think i also have a problem with the alternator, sometimes the steering got hard and if i put the car in reverse while lowering the suspension, i have to rev it to work properly. I will rebuild the alternator.

Before regassing the front center sphere the car was quite soft, even if it had that blown center sphere.
Now it was replaced and regassed and the car is quite stiff, it's not that enjoyable as before.
I'm tired of this situation, i better let the car as it was, it didn't had any problem before regassing

In my reply on your p.m. i said maybe he used the wrong sphere, but now i looked again the pictures and noticed, that the center sphere is without the damper, so this one is correct.

Re: Stiff suspension after spheres regassing - C5 X7
Hi!
My suspension is still stiff, having in consideration that all 7 spheres are regassed and hopefully no one got blown again.
Any suggestions of what to check next? My bushings are quite ok, i don't think they're the cause for the stiffness.
Thank you!

Re: Stiff suspension after spheres regassing - C5 X7
I'm still thinking about youre problem.
Maybe it's possible this diameter of the hole, for the front corner sphere's it should be 1.65 mm and the back corner sphere's are 1,25 mm.
Just maybe there is a mistake with the works on the sphere's, by the way, i have drill this holes to 2,00 mm.
The other thing you can check, but you need someone to help, is with the use of the diagbox is to check the difference between soft/stiff mode, you can command this with the diagbox, but you only have a few seconds after the command to check the difference.
Greetings,
Kees.

Re: Stiff suspension after spheres regassing - C5 X7
I still have problems with the car, everytime i invested some money on it and left the mechaninc, i've got new strange sounds/ behaviour.
I have replaced all the arms, bushings, links on front end and rebuild the steering rack. Now i have:
- clunking noise when steering left/ right to the max (my mechanic told me that it could be the lower ball joints, i've used Delphi). Screws seems to be tight.
- after rebuilding the steering rack, i have a vibration that could be feel even in the trunk, all 3 engine mounts seems to be ok.
- stiff suspension, even after the 7th front center sphere was regassed. I noticed that when it becomes stiff, the vibration i was talking about is also present, it's a noisy vibration, it sounds like the engine is running at over 1000 rpm at idle, but it sits constantly at 900 rpm.
- steering sometimes is hard especially on idle and it keeps being like that for 2-3 secs after accelerating the car.
@Kees Next month i'm goind to recheck the spheres and make the correct height setting, do you think my problem with stiff suspension may be form the front stiffness regulator? I cannot feel any difference in SPORT/ NORMAL modes.
Is there any way this could be tested? On tester it switches between sport and soft mode, but i don't know actually if physically is doing some change.
Thank you!

With the diagbox you can test, but you need some assistance, because diagbox only keep it for a few seconds.
