A quick search suggests a new windscreen may be available. However, if one can not be fond, insurance small print might say it will pay out the last list price for a part and leave you without the part but a bit of cash.
Hateful situation. Just rebuilt the steering rack, LH hub carrier and just back from a nice holiday trip in the C5. And the single MOT fail point was this crack.. to think that could happen
Hi,
If you can get it through your insurance, I'd definitely do it. We had the screen cracked on our C5 Tourer, by driving through one of the many M6 roadworks. It was just a 50mm crack until the next 75 pot holes sent it across the screen! The insurance (at the time I think it was Directline) said they could replace it in a fortnight, for the £125 excess or whatever. I said "what if I want it doing tomorrow?", they said "You can pay for it yourself, but the screen on the Exclusive has some extra gubbins and it'll be £1500".
Ok, so a fortnight later, it got done!
You pay an arm and a leg for insurance. To me that's what it's there for.

I know a C6 owner had his v6 C6 written off due to a cracked windscreen.....NFP for rhd models
It's absolutely ludicrous how parts supply for modern vehicles can result in a car being 'written off' so young. I need two torque mounts for my X7, they're NFP from Citroen and none available after-market new or used (there are some used I've found in Europe, but will not ship to UK). In theory a car worth several thousand and otherwise in perfect mettle, is therefore dead.
On the windscreen:
Autoglass list the X7 as a vehicle they can replace the glass on (I just checked my X7 via registration number on their website).

Engine mounts ?
Have you looked at "other" PSA cars such as the Dispatch, 508 & Expert for a source ?
Front/Rear engine mounts yep.
I'm searching on the OEM PSA part number.
Bespoke to the HDi V6. Once cross-references to the C6 but the other doesn't (and doesn't help because they're both that rare! )
I don't want to effectively "hijack" a thread about windscreens...
But while we're all making Voodoo dolls of insurance companies. I was unfortunate enough to be the victim of a hit and run circus vehicle (allegedly) which toasted the front and rear passenger side doors. Insurance company's assistance? "We'll write it off for you sir, here's about half of what you thought it was worth and much less than the market value".... I told 'em to get lost and I cancelled the claim before it got off the ground.
Two new doors (admittedly in a contrasting colour) cost me about £300, which I swapped over myself.
Not supposed to happen but if you are too awkward with an insurance company you might find it very difficult to get cover anywhere (Black listed}
I had a customer, a dairyman running several milk rounds, His private car was a Vanden-Plas 3 litre Princess, he came off the motorway a bit too fast and took out a road sign.
He claimed for the car which the insurer wrote off but he was dis-satisfied with their offer and dug his heels in, a second better offer was made which he also rejected, his milk float fleet was with the same insurer so he threatened to move it away from them, they finally paid him what he asked for and declined to insure him again.
So now he had a new car and a fleet all uninsured, shopped around but couldn't get cover anywhere at a reasonable price all the insurers declined his business, he had to pay well over the odds just to stay in business.
