My DS7 Crossback has just arrived, and I’m experiencing the same issue. Unfortunately, there’s only one service center in Hungary, and it’s quite problematic for me to get there at the moment. Before I received the car, it had been sitting for 2 months. It starts normally, but I get the same error message (electric traction system fault), first in orange and then in red. I’m also seeing a tire pressure error message.

I removed the small battery from the trunk and had it tested, but the values are fine. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Would it make sense to replace the small battery even if the values seem good?
If you've removed the battery, you may find that you have to reset the breaker fuse or the battery may not re-enable....

The original issue is likely that the vehicle has sat too long without use.

We can't really provide technical advice on Hybrid systems because of the specialist training and dangers of dealing with these battery systems. My advice is to contact your dealer for help - they may be able to provide some assistance over the phone.

Can a non-factory diagnostic tool read it as well?

How can I reset the breaker fuse or how can I realise if it doesn't reactivate?

I expect NOT. Basic code readers are not always able to read the constructor-specific codes for specialist systems. You would need a high end professional diagnostic tool most likely - but it really depends on the system, how old their system software is and whether they pay for anything other than generic OBD codes.

As I've said we can't help you on this - these because of the nature and dangers of these systems. It requires specialist training or you can badly injure yourself if you touch the wrong thing!

Could there be a connection between the "electric traction system fault" and the fact that it doesn’t allow full electric mode, showing the "ambient conditions" message?

well yes - if there's a problem with the hybrid traction system, then it's going to prevent electric mode operation. It needs taking to the dealer who have been trained on these.
