P0265 - Injector 2 Circuit High - Engine Misfiring

Hello all I am new to FCF here although I have owned many French cars in the past with no issues.

The issue I am having with my 2015 Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 HDI is that I was driving on motorway approx 80mph when suddenly it went into limp mode and dropped to 50mph then crawling along 30mph pulled into emergency laybuy. Rang RAC and third party assistance came out and diagnosed an injector issue.

Towed home and next day took it to local garage who checked on the Lexia and was showing code P0265 Injector 2 Control - Intermittent - Short Circuit Between 2 Wires and P2426 EGR Exchanger Bypass Control - Short Circuit to Earth, P0003

He suggested a new injector no 2 but I am doubting it needs one as its only done 50K mileage and has been regularly serviced.

One issue I can think of is it was also serviced last week and the airfilter housing is located behind the injectors is it possible somehow wiring is loose does the injector wiring need to be moved to fit the air filter?

Any possible suggestions or assistance greatly appreciated as its Jan blues here and budget is very tight to spend £300+ on injector.

Attached are photos of fault codes. Some are cleared and only remaining are P0265 and ABS/EGR error dash.

swap the suspect injector with one of the other ones & see if the fault changes to that injector position, if it does you know the injector is faulty

If you swap injectors, you will need to swap codes in ecu for it to run correctly
