This is quite silly - we start off a thread in 2003 talking about petrol engines - then in 2005 change to stalling of diesel engines. Apart from the use of liquid fuels and a cable operated throttle there is nothing in common and so a new thread really is appropriate and will probably produce results. What happens here is people look at it and say petrol single point injection - ah yes I've never dealt with that and turn to another thread and so you miss those that know something about diesels.

Well spotted.... I browsed through this thread and didn't even notice it suddenly jumped from 2003 to 2005, nor did I notice it started off with a petrol engine and finished with a diesel one. [:D]
I only tend to read things where the subject is of some interest to me, (unless it is a slow day and there are only a couple of new threads) so it frustrates me a bit when I see subjects like "a quick question", or "can you solve this one" etc... which gives NO indiction as to even what car its about, let alone what type of problem.
If I see something not of interest to me, like problems with diesel engines, or a ZX/AX for example, I immediately tune out. On the other hand if I see something of interest to me, like the hydraulic system, suspension, etc, it immediately piques my interest.
Please use descriptive subjects people, if you want to get the maximum coverage of people interested in your particular problem reading....
Regards,
Simon
