I think this just about qualifies for this thread, being a sort of notice...

It made me laugh far more than it should have. Names blanked to protect the guilty...

I'm still wondering how you loose something as large as a school

The comments were good and good natured too.

I can't help wondering if there's a sign a bit further on that says "Beware, Bendy Wendy!" :-D

For a short while as a teenager I had a girlfriend named Wendy, she was a little overweight and my mates said "She'll suck you in and blow you out in bubbles."
When I returned from National service I bumped into her on a bus, she'd lost all the puppy fat and was now strikingly beautiful.

Did she live in a very small building in the garden?

The name 'Wendy' is a relatively recent one...

A bit of history here:
The name "Wendy" is primarily associated with the character Wendy Darling from J.M. Barrie's play "Peter Pan," meaning it is essentially a fictional name coined by Barrie and popularized through the story; the name is believed to have originated from a childhood nickname "fwendy" given to Barrie by a young girl named Margaret Henley, a friend of his, who had difficulty pronouncing "friend" properly
AI generated although it's as I've always understood the origin of the name...

Ahh! interesting :D The only time I've ever been aware of the name is as Wendoline Ramsbottom. She's Wallace's muse in 'A Close Shave' :-D
