Greetings,
I have a strange coolant leak or something. This only occurs when I drive really really far, like +200km or so without a stop. Last weekend I drove +1100km and when I came home the coolant was below MIN and yet it only needed app half a liter to fill up to MAX.
I have not seen any dribbles or wet spots when I look down the engine compartment. I do not think it is the head gasket as I just recently replaced the oil and it looked fine.
The car does not produce white exhaust when it is in temp but it does when it is cold, and if i use the ”diesel engine heater” when it is cold the left side of the engine smokes a bit …
There are no issues with the Coolant Temp on the dashboard
So I really don’t know what or where the leak could be… what is a usual spot to try and locate for this? Is it advisable to try with a Coolant Leak Seal of sorts or is that just wasted money of it is a hose ?

Re: 508 2.0 HDi coolant leak ?
Hi
Is the coolant still a clean colour, not murky looking ?
When the head gasket went on my 2.0Hdi the oil was fine and no white smoke but the expansion tank would pressurise and blow coolant out of the cap, this mostly evaporated so there wasn't much to see when I lifted the bonnet.
After a short while the coolant looked murky from the combustion gasses, there is a sniffer test kit for testing for combustion gasses in the coolant if you did suspect this.
Hopefully not though.
Regards
Bobby

Hi, no the coolant is as blue as when I added it… I suspect the thermostat or something of sorts
Or everything else as it now says that the Low speed and High speed fan is not working

Re: 508 2.0 HDi coolant leak ?
I have found the leak, I think - but I have no idea how to really fix it. First idea is to use some sort of clamp, or do I need to replace the entire bleeding vent or pipe? The leak comes up where the bleeding vent is connected to the pipe leading up to it and dripping down to something really hot below it and evaporating thus I have not found any leaks of sorts.

I need to replace that entire coolant bleeding part, but I can not for my life figure out what the proper name for it is so I can order it, does anyone know?
Thank you in advance.

I have found the part no 6466ZA , but that is impossible to find. I have found a similar 6466Z1 but one retailer said it won’t fit.
Please help me.
Kindest regards

The same topic on the Peugeot forum, saves people here looking up things https://www.peugeotforums.com/threads/c ... st-2452079
What you could do is buy the wrong hose if it has the same leaking part and then fit just that bit to your existing hose. You might need to use a connector to join 2 hoses.
