Fuses

Unread post by Ds5 airdream »

Hi all has anyone looked in the glove box on their DS5 for the fuses ,? I took the little cover off thinking there would be a fuse box because my cigarette lighter has blown but all I could see was a lot of wire's and plugs but no fuses it's a 2012 DS5 hybrid are they different.

Hi Peter

I thought the same with my previous C4. It was in there but hard to see, poor design in my opinion. It took the skills of a Hollywood gynaecologist to replace the 12V acessory socket fuse. I've not had reason to look for it yet in my DS5. Good luck.

There are multiple fuse boxes - several in the engine bay and 2 or 3 surrounding the BSI in the passenger glovebox - my advice is be extremely careful with the wiring and connectors here - as this is the brain (master computer) of the vehicle that controls everything.

The one you need for the 12V Cigarette lighter is Fuse F13, located where I have marked it in Red:

You need to be a contortionist and have a good LED torch to navigate these.

Same problem on my ds4, the opening is so small that it's impossible to see properly most of the fuses, glove box needs to be dismounted to reach them?
