That's great news Steve, on the MoT at least - not quite so good on the logistics :(

Bluebell passed hers today too :D No logistical difficulties for me as my MoT place is at the end of my road...

I tried to be all arty with the MoT certificate ;)

I did take her out for a celebratory drive but didn't take a photo until we got home again...

I always feel cars run so much better with a new MoT :) Bluebell was a pure treat on the little celebratory drive...

I get those advisories every year but she's not a classic so it can wait.

3008 rolls on for another year :-D

Slightly annoyed I didn't get it to 99,9xx miles, 100k will roll over before Christmas. Only working in the office 2 days a week at the moment, so only done 6.5k miles in the last year (compared to the 15k I was doing pre-covid). Now 11 years old, so don't know how long it will go before the tin worm gets it....

As does the seemingly indestructible Xsara Picasso.
It has those advisories as it has got to the age that though I maintain it well, I knew it had a rattly drop link, and it also had an advisory for a ball joint last year. I'd expected it to fail today, then I'd fix it all at once.

I wish I could find someone to fit me a new window regulator without breaking the bank though!

A great result Mike :D

What's the issue with the window regulator? I'm good at Citroen door gynaecology ;)

I don't know Jim, doors and timing belts are the two things I avoid 😆

It was working, but then it jammed. The motor still activates when the switch is pressed. That's all I know. I'm the person who takes doors to bits and never gets them together again, so I've left well alone.

Thanks Skull :D

I was pleased, it rounded off a cracker of a day. I did have one small worry but speaking to the MoT tester I was assured I was worrying totally unnecessarily...

He confessed he had trouble starting it - not realising it has a carb and manual choke... He told me the only times he sees a choke on a car now is when he MoTs mine
