6 speed gearbox

Unread post by phil227 »

Hello i am new to the forum .
I hopefully need some information on the 6 speed manual gearbox fitted to my 2014 Citroen c3 Picasso 1.6 HDI .

We bought the car last year and have had trouble with the concentric slave cylinder . It was then found that the previous owner had had the gearbox it replaced with a similar unit from a Peugeot 3008 , we think ? .
and it is now leaking gear oil past the input shaft ( Now been replaced the slave cylinder twice , the O ring is in correct position and has not slipped . I now need to source a second-hand gear box ( 6 speed) but i am unable to find out what gearbox id code was fitted to the car when it left the factory . Any help would be much appreciated

We can help if you need an original genuine part number, part diagram or vehicle factory build sheet and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 3 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.

Hi

Here's the Gearbox info@
phil227 gearbox A.png
(1) New MEC Gearbox CP19X74, Marking: EA28 (EABH) or EA18 (EAHH), PSA part no: 2231X1, £10,998.51
Standard Exchange Gearbox 19X74, EA28 (EAB8), EABH, part: 2232Y3, £3,112.06

Transmission Type: BVM6, MCE Gearbox, Final Drive Ratio: CP 19 X 74

So if you 'Google' the part number 2232Y3 or 2232Y3 you should get some options - as long as the part numbers I have provided are shown specifically listed.

Hard to know exactly what you're referring to without a picture or frame of reference but I'd hazard a guess at the reverse gear sensor without further info.

If this is it, then it is shown at (3) below under the gear control module:

Hi Phil, sorry, but that has a different part number and different codes to those for your vehicle.
