Couple of Special Edition Mazda's featured on other threads following on from this

Mick's pal Ken's Trilogy has featured here on this thread only 333 made

Came across this which lists a few, so why not pick out a bright one...if our CitroJim sees it he may like it :-D

Got a mention from Skull here... (Edit well as pointed out gently by Citrojim who knows about such things what Skull has is an AX Memphis not a ZX Memphis hardly a special edition AX or ZX when both are given the same name although the ZX does have the edge with a promotional image with an Elvis impersonator. Not Citroen's finest hour in the marketing department!)

As an aside this is an interesting enough enough tale of the rise and fall of the ZX
It also wasn't long before Citroën unleashed a series of special editions. Pzazz, Flash, Neon, Dimension, Elation, Temptation and, bizarrely, the Memphis, to name just a few. The latter was promoted alongside an Elvis impersonator. You just couldn't help falling in love with it...

In truth, the special editions were little more than understudies to the stars of the ZX range. The Citroën ZX Volcane TD was a diesel hot hatch before the diesel hot hatch was a thing. The underrated and oft-forgotten ZX 16v was a credible alternative to the Golf GTI. And the ZX Furio was a junior hot hatch for younger viewers.

Just for completeness of the "Memphis" Special Edition an underwhelming 2 page leaflet rather than a proper brochure of the other Memphis Special Edition from Citroen...the AX Memphis...

Furthermore Citroen wrapped up 4 special editions of the AX into a "Citroen AX Americas Special Editions" Brochure

The Memphis, the Salsa, The Jazz, and The Chicago

That's great Neil :D My original AX, the one that started the love, was a Series 1 11TGE Salsa in the rather lovely metallic blue and funky seat upholstery.

And here's two more, from my brochures...

And, my favourite...
20241029_104428.jpg
Neither were available in the UK :(

The K-Way was a posh base-model as far as I can tell, having the 954cc engine only...

The Volcane was a posh GT and very high-spec by AX standards...

My French is not good enough to read all the text...
