NS wing mirror indicator DS5

Has anyone attempted swapping out the led indicator strip in the wing mirror?
Mine is damaged and wanted to have a go at replacing if easy enough.

I think you'll first have to remove the mirror, then the motor bolts, the motor, to provide access to the shell clips, remove, then this should give access to the indicator module wiring connector and the unit which should then be able to be swapped out.
