C4 GP 1.8 vti (Petrol) DMF Fault?

Unread post by Duffer »

Hi,

First posting here, so hopefully I've come to the right place.

I've got a 2007 C4 Grand Picasso, 1.8 petrol. Manual.

Done just under 100k, and now has a very distinct 'bang' when taking up drive. RAC have had a look and think it's the dual mass flywheel that needs replacing.

I'm drawing a blank in finding one, never mind getting a price to replace one, and wondered if anyone had any advice.

I'm thinking with that, a new coil pack, and a new timing belt, also all required, is this getting beyond economic repair?

I really like the car, but I can't decide until I can figure out the costs involved. Any help gratefully received! :)

We can help if you need an original genuine part number, part diagram or factory build sheet and can't already find the info you need on the Forum. For this service, we do ask for a membership upgrade for official parts data as we are in turn charged for this. It will cover you for future part number requests for up to 2 years, so excellent value.

If interested, links are below, then provide your vehicle's VIN in full, which will be masked automatically when you submit your post.
A response to your question by a Forum Admin requiring parts or specific vehicle information requires you
