Anyone know whether the engine management on the current Citroen 1.5Hdi diesel as fitted to the C5 Aircross etc is locked out to tuners? I believe a few years ago you could switch off troublesome AdBlue systems and eco-optimise this engine to produce cleaner exhaust than standard. Someone told me some makers have now locked the engine managements systems to prevent tuners accessing such things - thanks!

Can't provide any advice on this forum for that as it is illegal to disable emissions systems as you've said.
But yes more ECUs are protected with anti-tune technology by the manufacturers which in your case will be Bosch. There is no bypass I am aware of at present for these newer ECUs of which yours is likely to be a MD1CS003.
