Hi.
I am helping out putting together a C5 II facelift with a 2.0 petrol 4 cylinder manual, after a clutch change and have encountered two things.
Right above the flywheel, there is a hole that has had something attached with two screws, I need help to identify what it is so I can look in the garage for it.
The other part is a metal sheet that looks like it is a heat shield or something, but I need help with where it should go.
Best
Andreas

Re: Help with missing parts 2.0 petrol C5 X7
To avoid confusion I think you are talking about a MK III (X7). The was the C5 MK I, the the MK II which is the facelifted MK I, then there is the MK III or X7. I've changed your Post title to reflect this to avoid confusion.
As there were no petrol MK II facelifts, I suspect you are referring to a 1.6 EP6. Please provide your VIN which may help with identification. Please post your VIN in full without spaces - it will be automatically masked from public view after submitting your post & will only be visible to staff.

Re: Help with missing parts 2.0 petrol C5 X7
Hi and thanks for the quick reply.
Here is the Vin: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
I saw that it is an 2.0 but a C5 1 facelift year 2005.

The hole on the cylinder head is not used on anything on an 2.0 litre RFJ EW10A which is in the picture.
Was used for secondary air injection on Mk1 C5 and all others with RFN EW10J4 engine.

The heat shield i don't recognize. And it doesn't match anything in Citroën service.

I can't locate that part sorry, so can't help with that and you've got your answer for the other part from Citroenguy.

Forgot to ask. Is it supposed to be open or is there a lid or other that is supposed to go there and block?
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

No, nothing goes there..Cittotraang wrote: 10 Aug 2024, 16:53 Forgot to ask. Is it supposed to be open or is there a lid or other that is supposed to go there and block?

Gearbox takes 1.8L of 75W-80 GL4 oil, and no Biltema doesn't have it.
Otherwise you can always check mpmoil.se
Edit:
Fill gearbox via the fill/level plug, accessible from the wheel whell
