Ahh thank you. Yes thats probably a better option. Buy an OEM radio, use it to set the language etc and then put back the nicer stereo that’s been fitted. I guess if the battery is disconnected everything reverts to French again.xantia_v6 wrote: 31 Jul 2024, 15:19 A couple of comments:

The installer of the aftermarket radio may have discarded the original mounting hardware behind the dash
For a temporary install (just to change the language) you don't need to have the radio coded.

That is a good question, the settings should survive a battery disconnect. Cross fingers that they also survive if the RD4 is removed. I think it likely to be OK

Though it does make me wonder how it reverted back to French unless the owner was French?....
