deisel additive pump

there is a engine fault coming up on my dash and its the deisel additive pump ,peugeot want over £400 for a new one,
any suggestions would be appreciated ,foned a car parts firm and they said main dealer supply only .

This isn't very clear - you don't usually get a fault concerning the failure of the diesel additive pump! It is usually a warning telling you the diesel additive level is low or needs topping up.

Can you confirm what the exact message you have on the dash is. If it just needs topping up you don't need a new pump.

the warning on the dash says engine fault ,put it on a diagnostics and that came up as the deisel additive pump ,already had a new additive top up fitted ,cheers .

And you also reset the additive counter after you topped it up?
