Keyless not work

Unread post by GORAX »

Hello everyone,

Keyless doesn't work on my vehicle. I always have to insert the key to start. When I press the start button without the key it says key not recognized. But I can open the doors with the buttons on the key. Is there a separate antenna for keyless? How do I find the error with diagbox/lexia? Where is the antenna located and what would be the part number?

I am very grateful to all the answers!

It's all in your vehicle manual:

Place the electronic key in the reader in yellow below:

Switch on the ignition by pressing START/ STOP.

I've tried this several times but the problem still exists. When I start it always says key not recognized.

Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob? A dead/weak fob battery will stop it being detected wirelessly.
Does the car lock & unlock using the remote?

Don't try pressing the start stop button first.

Get in the car shut the doors, then place the fob in the reader, then press the Start button. If this doesn't work then try a BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure

On vehicles with a hard to access negative battery connection, it is ok to substitute removing the positive terminal - but just make sure you isolate the cable and do not have ant tools lying about that can cause shorts.

I went through the instructions twice but still no success. I did a diagnosis with diagbox and with keyless it says connection error. I'm desperate. could it be that it was coded out? or is something really really broken?

If it was coded out it wouldn't allow starting of the vehicle. It really can't see it being the fob reader, because the whole point of that is to allow the car to start if there is an issue.

We'd really need the actual fault code returned by Diagbox to see if we can help further, but I have to ask if you have been playing with Diagbox in some areas and changed some configuration accidentally or purposefully? Some settings are not what they may suggest they are, so changing some settings for options not on your vehicle or changing some values that must be left as they are with the default options can result in non-operation of vehicle sub-systems.

Maybe the previous owner did something too. I can't find him anymore. can i set the coding to factory default? I'll check all the error codes tomorrow. How can I reactivate keyless go with Diagbox if it is deactivated?

Is it true that if I press close twice, keyless is deactivated?

This is code F303. I was not able to delete.

Here a few codes. I able to delete. I didn't even have the errors that were displayed.

Here it shows the error: connection for keyless functions not available

No, it's a professional level diagnostic tool that generally requires proper training to use for anything other than fault reading, clearing and basic maintenance functions. There's no 'undo' or reset'. Once you have made a change it is permanent unless changed back.
